On 28 November 2025, members of the BLE and HESCOR profile-building projects are set to gather in Aachen for a workshop dedicated to interdisciplinary cooperation and university profile-building. The event brings together postdocs and coordination teams to present their projects, discuss organisational challenges, and share examples of interdisciplinary research in practice. A group exercise is planned to prompt reflection on integrating knowledge across different disciplinary traditions. Later in the day, Prof. Dr. Jan C. Schmidt will give a keynote on types of interdisciplinarity, opening space for deeper discussion on embedding collaborative approaches within institutional structures. The workshop will end with an informal visit to the Aachen Christmas market, offering participants the chance to continue conversations.
