Hi, my name is Vittorio, and I just finished my bachelor’s degree in physics and geography didactics! Over the past three years, I have been working at HESCOR as a student assistant.
I work closely with Dr. Elena Robakiewicz in the area of science communication and outreach, which means I get to explore a lot of different tasks. Particularly in such a large, interdisciplinary project, every task I had was something new and exciting.
One of my favourite moments was assisting at the KinderUni, where we showed young children the reality of interdisciplinary research and HESCOR through a series of learning stations. Another great opportunity was working on an interactive series of comics about interdisciplinary research here at HESCOR, which we recently even dubbed into an audio version ourselves!
Of course, there were other small tasks too, like catering, uploading blog posts, doing interviews, and much more. It just shows how varied and creative science communication can be, especially in a large project like HESCOR.
